Treatment Options for Hemroids

The options for treating hemroids vary from region to region and country to country.  With the idea of medical science growing over different platforms, scientists and physicians are still out to find a permanent cure for hemroids.  As on date there is no permanent cure for hemroids.  However, the symptoms of hemroids can be suppressed by medications and therapy.  In addition to this one can go in for creams / lotions that will reduce pain and subsidize irritation.  One can also go in for surgery in case nothing else works out, but again this too is not a permanent solution.

Prevention is one of the best ways to keep away from hemroids.  For this one must gather some knowledge about what is hemroids.  The chances of one, gathering information regarding hemroids, are rare.  One gathers information only after one has acquired hemroids or someone in his / her circle (family or friends) has got hemroids.  Other than this it is only the physicians or the health care workers who have some knowledge about hemroids.  This comprises only about 2 % of the population of the United States and 0.98 % across the world.  From this data it is quite evident that knowledge on hemroids is limited.

Temporary treatments include homeopathic treatment, herbal medication and yoga.  These are alternative therapy / treatments which is gaining popularity over the past few years.  But none of these treatments are able to eradicate hemroids from the root. Given below is more information on how to go about treating hemroids and information that you would consider useful with or without hemroids.

Hemroids can be treated with the help of certain lotions / creams which needs to applied locally.  This helps one in passing stool peacefully without extra damage to the tissues around the anus area. The cream can be applied by oneself with his / her finger tips or one can make use of cotton swabs for the purpose.  Bleeding hemroids needs to given more care.  The stool contains a horde of infectious germs which can enter the blood stream if your hemroids are bleeding.  Oral medication along with local application of creams is required to treat hemroids.  Creams alleviate pain and at the same time act as a lubricant for the passage of stool.  There are mild creams that are available as over the counter medication which will bring down the burning sensation you may experience as a result of damaged tissues.

There are certain herbal medications that are widely popular in Japan and China; these medications are extracted from the various trees that are commonly found in eastern Asia. They are the horse chestnut tree, the butcher broom tree and the pagoda tree.  They are only meant to however provide temporary relief to the patients suffering from hemroids.  For these medications to have any effect on the patient these are to be used for local application without fail.

There are various other methods for treating hemroids.  One among them that is followed is the shallow bath method.  This method of treatment involves keeping the anus area immersed in water which contains iodine crystals.  This helps one in relieving pain and at the same time repairs the damaged tissues. This is a continuous process and needs to be done regularly.

Other methods are surgical and none of these procedures give you hundred percent reliefs from hemroids.   For more advice on the subject one can contact a physician who will guide you on what is suitable for treating hemroids.
