HEMROIDS GUIDE

 

Commonly known as piles this is a serious condition if left untreated.  This is a condition whereby the blood vessels of the rectum gets affected by either damage or it protrudes out of the anus.   In serious conditions it leads to bleeding when stool is being passed out of the body. In most cases it is only in this stage that one notices that one has hemroids.  The initial stages of hemroids involve swelling of the veins and the blood vessels surrounding the anus region.  This is also known as the first stage of hemroids. In the second sage of hemroids, the patient is likely to feel weak and this is accompanied by dizziness.  In the extreme cases or the third stage, there may be heavy bleeding through the anus and if this is left untreated, it can lead to death.  It is always easy to treat hemroids in early stages than in later stages as with all diseases or problems. 

There is no age limitation for this affiliation.  One can be affected by hemroids depending on one’s body condition, the type of diet he / she consumes and the life style that one pursues.  The hemroids that is likely to affect an individual is of two types, one the internal type and the external type.  In both the internal and external type, the veins and the blood vessels of the area surrounding the anus are damaged resulting in pain or a burning sensation more so when stool is being passed.   The swelled blood vessels also obstruct the stool which is being passed out of the body causing pain.  In the external hemroids, the bulged veins and blood vessels are outside the body and in the internal type; the blood vessels and tissues are inside the body.

Hemroids is attributed to a number of factors, the least among them being hereditary.  This is a life style problem and it affects one without any age limitation.  However it is most commonly found in people over the age of thirty five.  Hemroids may caused by irregular sleeping habits, poor diet, over eating of spicy or fried foods, idle life style, working under highly humid weather conditions or dry weather conditions, and irregular bowl movement.  These factors accompanied by tobacco and alcohol may instigate hemroids at a very early age. 

Things to done to avoid hemroids are; follow strict meal timings, with a diet that is rich in fiber content.  Follow a good exercise regime with little lifting of weights or no lifting of weights.  Drink five to six liters of water daily with ample salt content.  Avoid eating out or eating junk foods.  Have a regular sleep pattern with ample rest to the body.  Take at least two baths in a day, and keep yourself clean and healthy.  These are certain guidelines and if followed they will help you keep away from hemroids for a very long time. There are a number of other treatment methods and natural treatments for hemroids as well, that can be used in conjunction to a sensible diet, rest and exercise.

Hemroids can be treated by surgery as well, b ut then this is a painful process and this is not an assurance that you are permanently cured of hemroids.  Following the above guide lines can help you in the long run.   

In case you are affected by hemroids, consult a doctor before you take any medication or self administer any medication.  Hemroids can lead to bacterial infection in the body and one may have to take certain antibiotics too cure oneself from certain other infections.
